I wondered how would the roman catholic clergy would clean up its recently tarnished image of being a “haven for pedophile priests” (at least in the U.S.). There is also a sad trend that has built up over the years too: recent statistics of new religious vocation ‘recruits’ all over the world are in serious decline.

This one just came in from the BBC RSS feed of mine. And I never saw this coming.

Well, it turns out that a roman catholic priest from Italy has thought of organizing a beauty pageant(?!?) for nuns. Well, the idea probably is to portray the religious orders as not being out of date or flatly boring. But before you could ask “Would we see our ’sisters’ in bathing suits and subjected to mind-numbingly idiotic questions in the Q & A portion?” The answer would be NO.

The qualified nun contestants would have their pics posted on a soon-to-be launched website and viewers would click in their votes… Hmmm, I smell publicity stunt… c”,
